Our Founders

Roger Buraimoh

Born and raised in the DMV area of Silver Spring, MD, and Austin local for over 30 years, Roger earned an Engineering degree from Howard University, followed by a master’s in semiconductor engineering from R.I.T. Roger’s career began with 12 years at Motorola in Austin, TX, before transitioning into real estate sales, where he continues to thrive. Roger has a deep appreciation for traveling, the outdoors and connecting with people from all backgrounds. Since 2014, his passion for cigars has been a unique blessing, offering him opportunities to share, entertain, and build connections with a diverse and vibrant community.

Cedric Johnson

Austin, TX, native with deep roots tracing back to the early 1900's, Cedric, a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, has spent over a decade immersed in the city’s vibrant hospitality and bar scene. From iconic clubs to hidden gems, he’s experienced Austin's nightlife in all its forms, soaking in the diverse energy that makes the city unique. Through the highs and lows of an ever-changing culture—be it cigars, food, tech, sports, or music—Cedric’s a dedicated observer and participant, embracing the weirdness that defines this oasis. Whether engaging with people or pets, Cedric has seen it all in this ever-evolving city he proudly call home.

Sam Maxie

A former Mary Hardin Baylor Collegiate Athlete and Professional Football player, Sam transitioned over a decade ago, into the hospitality industry in Austin, TX. He started on Rainey Street during its golden era—a time filled with unforgettable experiences. Throughout Sam’s years in the service industry, including Physical Fitness, one truth stood out: people are always in search of a genuine experience. Over a decade ago, he discovered his passion for cigars, and was immediately drawn to the relaxing and communal nature of cigar smoking. As an Austin native, it’s an honor for Sam to have a cigar brand that embodies the spirit of this city, and looks forward to sharing that experience with all.

Michael Watson

Michael, a New York native, recently relocated to Austin, TX, bringing with him extensive leadership experience from his time at Fortune 500 companies. He holds a degree in Economics and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. As an Investor, and two-time entrepreneur, Michael focuses on social impact and sustainability, with a deep commitment to community development. In his short time living in Austin, TX, Michael has facilitated major events at venues such as Riches Art Gallery, Mira Mira, Soho House, Expedia Corporate and more. His true passions lies in forging meaningful connections through cigars, wine, and travel, creating opportunities to bring people together in enriching and authentic ways.
